(About Me)

Valentina Aguirre

Bent Lindberg

I live at the intersection of art, technology, design, and society—not as a tagline, but as the actual terrain where I work: building digital products that shape how people connect, create, and make sense of the world.

How This Started

Microsoft Paint. A kid discovering that software wasn't just something you consumed, it was something you could build. That the interface was a medium. That design was power.

What I Do

I lead product design and strategy across B2B SaaS, consumer apps, fintech, and e-commerce. I love the whole process: mapping systems, understanding what software should do for people, designing how it works, shipping it, then iterating based on research and performance. I collaborate with dev teams, lead designers, and stay hands-on because great software is built intentionally — by teams who actually care about craft. I ask why relentlessly, create clarity from complexity, and believe leadership means doing, not just directing.

How I Think About Design

Technology isn't neutral. Every interface encodes assumptions about users, contexts, and literacies. Good design interrogates these assumptions instead of naturalizing them.

All design is cultural design. What we call "intuitive" usually means "familiar to the designer's context." There is no universal user—only specific humans in specific contexts.

The internet is infrastructure for culture-making. We're not building neutral tools—we're building the conditions for how meaning gets made, shared, and contested.

Digital culture has material consequences. Dark patterns are extraction strategies. Engagement metrics are theories about what human attention should optimize for. These choices matter.
